Hi Everyone,

Time is just flying by. We are already into March and Life Choices: The Event is just a few days away. Some of the speakers have arrived in Vegas and are busy getting things ready for this to be the best event ever. I met with the hotel again this week to work out staging and menus. The food alone is going to be worth the trip. The programming is awesome. As The Event is designed around the 8 areas of stress in our lives and how we can create the best life experiences ever by the choices we make, attendees will be motivated and take home all kinds of tips and techniques for self-empowerment. The Tropicana Hotel has been newly remodeled and the meeting rooms are beautiful. I’m so excited for your arrival in Las Vegas. We are going to have such a remarkable time!

As it works out, it’s a perfect time for me to go stay in a hotel for a few days. My neighbor’s water pipe burst in her house and flooded not only her home, but mine as well. It was coming out of the pipe so fast and furious that it came right through the wall. My super kitty, Brut, woke me up early in the morning to get me to follow him downstairs … only to find a 2” covering of water all over the bottom floor. So now, my entire downstairs must be dried out, baseboards replaced, and all rooms repainted.

Life does have its way of keeping us busy, doesn’t it? I remember once when something went wrong in my life, I said to my Dad, “Why did this have to happen NOW?” and he asked me, “Well, when would you like it to happen?” Life is what it is and it’s up to us to make the best of what happens. Even though we may not have the circumstances or the resources we believe we need to improve our lives, we must start where we are, with what we have, and build the foundation that will allow us to find the resources and change our circumstances. Change doesn’t usually happen all at once. It is a process of eliminations and additions until we find the desired direction for our lives.

Remember, things don’t always go as we thought they would…but we are always more than enough!

Associate for Success

By Judi Moreo

Mark Twain once said, “Keep away from people who try to belittle your ambitions. Small people always do that, but the really great make you feel that you, too, can be great.”

Who are your friends? Who are your associates? With whom do you spend the most time?

We don’t always get to pick our relatives, but we certainly can chose who we seek out for friendship. Many of us haven’t chosen our friends. We’ve just acquired them…through work, school, or association. In many instances, negative people have somehow infiltrated themselves into our lives.

It is of uppermost importance to associate with positive people and avoid the negative ones. We learn our behaviors, habits, mannerisms, speech patterns, verbiage, manners or lack of them from the people with whom we spend the most time. People who succeed put themselves in the company of people who are striving to succeed. People who fail often hang around with people who have no goals and no ambition.

Success breeds success

If you associate with successful people, you will learn from them and you will be likely to become successful, too. Successful people often present opportunities to people they know. The people with whom you associate should be people who are interesting and have a positive outlook toward life. You should also be able to contribute something of value to their lives.

If you want to be successful, surround yourself with successful people. Go to events where you know there will be people who have already reached the goals you would like to reach, introduce yourself to others and start conversations. If you introduce yourself to enough people, you will surely make some new positive, interesting friends.

When I wanted to become a speaker, I joined the National Speakers Association in order to associate with top notch speakers and learn from them. Later, I decided I wanted to write books as well, so I attended a writer’s conference and then joined a local writer’s group.

THE EVENT

We’d love to have you join us March 23 -25 at Life Choices: The Event to be held at the Tropicana Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. You’ll meet and network with people who are where you want to go, and they’ll be glad to show you how to get there as well.

9 Steps to Prosperous Thinking

  1. Get quiet, meditate, and make a mental picture of the highest degree of financial success that you wish to achieve.
  2. Build a mental picture of what you really want.
  3. Keep your inner plans to yourself.
  4. Proceed to take steps toward your mental picture of financial independence.
  5. Do NOT become anxious, excited, or emotionally upset if you don’t immediately get the results you want.
  6. Persevere in making your mental image of financial independence come forth, in whatever ways are revealed to you.
  7. Realize your dreams of financial independence have already come true on the mental plane, by the time you desire them or become aware of them.
  8. Remind yourself often that if others have attained financial independence, so can you.
  9. Remember, every good thing already exists in the realm of substance.  Through high expectancy, mental images, prosperous thought and action, you can bring forth whatever you wish.

Mind Workout

Make a list of people with whom you usually associate. Then beside their names, write down their most outstanding characteristic. Whom would you like to emulate? Who is interesting? Who is negative or bad mouths others? Who complains a lot? Who makes things happen? Which friends or associates are just getting by?

If you find there are negative people on your list, don’t worry. You don’t have to go right out and dump your friends. Think in terms of acquiring new friends and acquaintances who are positive and are headed where you want to go.
