http://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=474
http://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=474#commentsTue, 15 May 2012 04:43:45 +0000Judi Moreohttp://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=474Powerful people don’t slump. They stand up straight. Good body posture makes you look confident, successful and energetic. There are many benefits to good body posture, including increased energy, improved health by aligning internal organs, and enhanced voice quality. In addition, you will look and feel more fit and self-assured.
Ask someone to look at your posture and see if you are standing correctly. A side view of your body should appear as though it has an invisible line starting at the crown of the ahead, flowing through the lobe of the ear, the outermost top of the shoulder, the hipbone, the center of the knee and ending at the arches of the feet.
Good posture is a reflection of good health and high self-esteem. If you take care of your body, exercise, and stand and sit up straight, you’ll feel better about yourself and demonstrate that feeling to others. This gives them more confidence in you.
You are more than enough!
Have you noticed an improvement in your life when you remember how important your posture is?

Do you give up and say, “Oh well, I didn’t want to go to that destination anyway?” or, “That’s just my luck. I’ve never been able to reach my goals?”
At one time or another, most of us seem to run low on energy. This happens when things aren’t going the way we expected or we have worked too long and too hard without achieving our desired results. This is a critical time. This is not the time to give up. It is the time to take a break, go to the spa, go home and not answer the telephone or the door, go on a drive in the country, walk in the grass barefooted, have a picnic with someone really special, or go on vacation. Whatever you do, make sure it is something you enjoy. Your brain needs time to process everything that is currently going on without any additional input.

http://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=457
http://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=457#commentsWed, 09 May 2012 02:29:26 +0000Judi Moreohttp://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=457Many of us undermine our confidence by trying to earn the approval of others. For some reason, we seem to think if we can get the approval of those around us, things will be better or others will take care of us. The truth is, no one but you is going to take care of you. You need to become very clear about that. No matter how much someone else loves you or you love that person, you still need to take care of yourself.
Until you learn how to rely on yourself, you will have to depend on your ability to influence others to fulfill your needs. That will leave you at the mercy of those upon whom you depend. You will never be able to have or do more than you can convince them to allow you to have or do.
You owe it to yourself to learn to depend on yourself to meet your own wants, needs, and expectations. This doesn’t mean you have to be alone. It means you need to know that, if and when you are alone, you are still more than enough. You know who you are and what your values are. You let your values guide you and your decisions. You aren’t going through this life just to be a people pleaser. Overcoming dependency isn’t easy. That’s why so many people are stuck in co-dependent relationships. When you are confident, you can be yourself whether alone, with someone else, or in a group of people.
You Are More Than Enough
What strengthens you, guides you and helps you to depend on yourself to meet your own wants, needs, and expectations?

Pick something that you really want to learn how to do and join a club or a class and devote the time to learning what you have always wanted to learn. It does not matter what it is, as you challenge yourself and become proficient, your self-esteem will grow. You must make the commitment to stick-with-it and try your hardest for at least a year.
You should set a timeline, in writing, that expresses realistic expectations as to what you will be able to do in a month, 2 months, 3 months, and on through the year.
You should keep a “Portfolio of Progress” every week as you go through this year to see your progress from beginning to end.
We all have something we have always wanted to learn how to do. What did you always want to do and how did you accomplish this goal?

Learn to accept yourself for who you are and focus on what you want to become. There’s no one else exactly like you. You are one very special individual who was created to be who you are – doing the best you can each day to get the best results life has to offer. Learn to love yourself with all your strengths and all your weaknesses. Remember, weaknesses provide you with opportunities for growth. Respect yourself. Your primary responsibility is your own physical and emotional well-being. When you are true to yourself and learn to take care of you, your self-respect will grow.
We have so much more to offer the world than just a shadow of ourselves. Give up old hurts and old scars. Give up negative thinking. Keep forgiving yourself for any mistakes you have made. Congratulate yourself for taking risks. Give up your negative self-image. It will keep you from achieving the success you want and deserve.

http://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=406#commentsWed, 25 Apr 2012 03:01:31 +0000Judi Moreohttp://www.judimoreo.com/blog/?p=406You are who you are right now because of your past thoughts about yourself. You can deliberately become who you want to be by changing your thoughts. We change our thoughts by changing our mental pictures. Put a picture in your mind of you at your best. Clearly visualize how you would stand, walk, talk, dress, and behave if you could be who and what you really want to be. Visualize yourself as someone people notice, want to get to know, want to please, and with whom they want to enjoy either a personal or professional relationship. Hold that picture in your mind and start to act “as if” you already are that person. Stand the way that person would stand. Walk and talk the way that person would walk and talk. Dress and behave in the same manner as the ideal picture in your mind. See yourself as having the attributes and qualities of your ideal self. Live them as if you have them! Quit being and seeing whatever you think you are now and start being and seeing only what you want to be. And guess what? By assuming the role you wish to become, one day you’ll realize you really are that person.
What has helped you become what you really want to be?
